Directed Energy Deposition System

The Optomec LENS 450XL 3D printer produces metal or ceramic parts using laser-controlled powder technology. This versatile technique differs from other 3D powder printers, as it can repair or add onto existing parts, in addition to manufacturing parts of varying sizes and compositions for optimized mechanical properties and enhanced corrosion resistance.

This machine is unique in both Québec and Canada.

Binder Jetting Additive Manufacturing

  • Possible materials : metals, sand, ceramics
  • Volume : 250 x 400 x 250 mm

Fabrisonic: Ultrasonic metal printing technology

Fabrisonic ultrasonic welding technology uses additive ultrasonics to bond one metal layer to another and can bond metals considered to be incompatible by traditional welding methods. With its solid-state advantage, it produces custom parts based on novel and advanced designs. The ultrasonic printing feature is added to a digitally controlled welding machine. The part is bonded as it is machined, with the added possibility to create hollow, assembly-free parts.

This machine is unique in both Québec and Canada.
